• The Bakers Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology describes a "prophet" as an individual who received a call from God, to be God^s spokesperson.
• Websters Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary defines prophet - as one who utters Divinely inspired revelations, one gifted with more than ordinary spiritual and moral insight. 
• The title "seer" or "prophet" is used interchangeably, but in essence carries the same definition.
